What is it?
The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC)-- Philadelphia Chapter sponsors an annual tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities every October. The trip is targeted to female high school students (9-12 grades), where they will have an opportunity to visit academic buildings, tour the campuses, meet with faculty, and talk to current students and staff from the Admissions Department.
We will be visiting Morgan State University, Bowie State University, Howard University, North Carolina A&T, Bennett College, Johnson C. Smith, Clark Atlanta University and Spelman College. The trip also includes a tour of Historical Land Marks in each State. Our trip is unique in that it is Homecoming Weekend for Spelman and Morehouse Colleges. Students will get the opportunity to attend the Homecoming game at Morehouse College as well as participate in other Homecoming activities, including a homecoming Step Show.

Requirements
Must be a high school female in grades 9-12th. Must have a "C" or higher GPA.

Register by August 1st Cost: $600 Late Registration after August 1 $650
Non Refundable Registration Fee $100 to reserve your seat.

October 08, 2010, MANDATORY MEETING, Time: 12 noon, Location: 6101 Limekiln Pike Philadelpia 19141, at which time parents can meet the chaperons and ask questions about the trip.
October 09, 2010, MANDATORY CONFERENCE , Time 3:00 pm Location: 4300 Tacony Street ( First Philadelphia Charter School)

Why should I go on the Annual Historical Black College and University Tour?
You should attend because we offer the “Black College Experience” at an amazing price.
